An investigation is underway in Pulaski County, after police discover a “back-room gambling ring” at several area stores.

Machines and money were taken by police from four different stores.  Authorities say they received a tip about gambling, and undercover deputies were able to get search warrants for the Slate Branch Super-Stop, Southern Express, and two different Louise’s Food Marts.  Investigators say they’re looking into other stores as well.

The business owners will be charged with promoting gambling in the first degree.
