some of the $787 billion dollars are reaching communities, universities and businesses. Fayette County received $91 million including $32 million, which went to public projects and the urban county government. According to Recovery.gov, that money has "created or saved" 127 Lexington jobs, but the data has some errors, even close to home. The system reports that one nearly $900 award to a shoe company in Campbellsville has created or saved nine jobs. Store managers spoke with ABC News and said it was an error with paperwork but the nine jobs still remain listed on Recovery.gov. It's hard to determine the success or failure of the stimulus package, but it is clear that at some point, the money will need to come from somewhere. "How they figure how to finance the debt is going to be a very difficult question," Dr. Ken Troske of the University of Kentucky Economics Department. "They could print money, and then you have inflation. Or, they're going to raise taxes." For more information, go to www.recovery.gov Trackback ( 0 )
