New Laws to Go into Effect Tuesday

You can expect several new laws to go into effect this coming Tuesday.

Here are some of them:

1) It will be illegal sell, purchase or use alcohol vaporizing devices

2) There will be more frequent inspections of amusement park rides and anyone under the age of 18 will not be allowed to operate those rides.

3) An animal cruelty law will increase penalties for those who torture dogs and cats. Anyone causing serious physical injury or death to an animal could end up spending one to five years in prison.

4) Teachers, Coaches, and Priests convicted of sex crimes against children will face felony criminal charges for having any form of sexual contact with minors they oversee. The law also increases the statute of limitations on misdemeanor sex crimes giving victims who are minors at the time of the crime until their 23rd birthday to press charges.
