Berea police are searching for a man who broke in to a home on Arrowhead Drive and struck a mother who was home with two of her own children and another she was babysitting. It happened Thursday a little before 9 a.m. A neighbor who wished to remain anonymous came upon the scene shortly afterwards. "I seen here, she's crying where he'd hit her," he said. "She said somebody broke in the back door back there on me and grabbed me and started beating on me and kept asking, 'Where's it at, where's it at? I know it's here, where's it at?'" He said in the 27 years he's lived on that quiet, dead end street, nothing like it has ever happened.
The victim's husband and police say the suspect was about 5'10," likely white, dressed all in black with a hoodie and ski mask. Berea police have beefed up patrols but several neighbors told ABC 36 News they're frightened. "I just hope the good Lord he don't come back here and try this again," he said. Trackback ( 0 )
