After a wet Wednesday,  a few lingering showers were noted across Southern Kentucky this morning with dense fog in Central Kentucky.  By noon we saw most of those showers push east with a thick deck of stratus clouds in place.  Eventually the sun will poke through this afternoon and help our temperatures warm up several more degrees than yesterday.  Afternoon temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s.  The next chance for scattered to widespread showers and storms will be on Saturday and into Sunday.

Thursday:  Clouds and fog early will eventually give way to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon.  Temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 80s with dew points a little higher, so just a tad more humid than the last few days.  Winds: ENE 3-8 mph.  High: 84.

Thursday Night:  Mostly clear skies with some patchy fog.  Winds: SE 3-8 mph.  Low: 65.

Friday:  Mostly sunny and humid, with a few clouds developing in the afternoon. Temperatures will peak around 90 in central Kentucky and the low 90s in southern Kentucky with heat index readings in the low 90s.  Winds: SE 5-10 mph.  High: 89.

Friday Night:  Partly cloudy and humid.  Winds: SE 5-10 mph.  Low: 70.

Saturday:  Partly sunny with showers and storms pushing in from the west during the afternoon and evening.  Winds: S 5-10 mph.  High: 89.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with more widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Winds:  SW 5-10 mph.  High: 87.
