Fayette County is closing the loopholes in the smoking ordinance it passed more than five years ago. 

Thursday, the Urban County Council voted to extend the smoking ban to all workplaces and public transportation, which includes Bingo Halls, LexTran busses, taxis and even the BlueGrass Airport.  It got a lot of opposition from the Bing Halls and the airport, however supporters say it's just a matter of public health.
