Commonwealth attorney Richie Bottoms says three of those firefighters are expected to plead guilty to arson charges. They are accused of setting fires to barns and vacant homes in Marion and Boyle counties last fall. According to their attorney, brothers Frederick and James Tate were scheduled to plead guilty today in court. He says he wants to move the court date to next month to get the four accused firefighters in court on the same date. Frederick and James Tate, along with Stephen Orberson, are expected to plead guilty to starting suspicious fires. The fourth firefighter, Melinda Orberson, pleaded not guilty to charges last year. The four volunteer firefighters have been off the job since they were accused last fall. All four are expected in court a month from today. Trackback ( 0 )
