Good Morning and Happy Groundhog Day!

Punxutawney Phil say his shadow this morning at 7:25 am in Gobbler's Knob, PA.  The verdict is...6 more weeks of winter or you can look at it as 6 more weeks until Spring. :)

Winter is definitely with us this morning in the Bluegrass with some mixed precipitation falling across Southern and Eastern KY.  A Winter Weather Advisory is out for Eastern KY until noon today.  Freezing rain, sleet, rain and snow will cause some problems on the roads until the afternoon, so be safe heading out.  An additional 1-2 inches of snowfall is possible in elevations higher than 2000 ft through the morning hours.  This is all in response to a low pressure system that continues to ride up the east coast.  It'll do so for the rest of the day and gradually take all the moisture with it, but the clouds will hang tough. Temperatures today will reach the upper 30s and low 40s.
Tomorrow an area of high pressure will move in bringing plenty of Sunshine and keep our temperatures into the 40s.

Today: Mostly cloudy with AM showers in Eastern KY. Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 12:00 pm.  High 41. Winds out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. Precipitation chance 20%.

Tonight: Partly cloudy and not as cold. Low 25. Winds out of the west at 5-10 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High 40. Winds out of the west at 5-10 mph.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with temperatures in the low to mid 40s.

Friday: Cloudy with a 70% chance of rain/snow showers. Temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s.

Saturday: Cloudy with a 40% chance of snow showers. Temperatures in the mid 30s.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of snow showers. Temperatures in the low 30s.

Monday: Mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid 30s.
