The son of a small-town eastern Kentucky mayor has pleaded guilty to charges he conspired
with his father to buy votes in a 2006 mayoral race.
45-year-old Brent Madon admitted he took voters to the courthouse to vote by absentee ballot for his father, Pineville Mayor Bob Madon.
He says they were paid $10-$20 dollars for a vote.
Prosecutors say, of the 305 absentee ballots cast in the election, 250 were for Madon.
The plea agreement says Bob Madon put up the money for the vote buying.
He has pleaded not guilty to the same charge.
Brent Madon faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
