Fire Burning In Daniel Boone National Forest
Sunday, 05 October 2008 18:08

Hundreds of acres of the Daniel Boone National Forest are burning along the Powell-Wolfe County Line.

Forestry Officials say an unattended campfire started spreading Friday. Now, nearly two-hundred acres are on fair and officials fear the fire will spread.

They say if we don't get significant rainfall soon, campfires will likely be banned in the forest.

They expect the fires to spread to nearly 600 acres over the next few days before officials can extinguish them.
