KY Soldier Laid To Rest

A Kentucky Soldier killed in Iraq this week was laid to rest today...

25 year old Sergeant David Cooper of Williamsburg died Wednesday of wounds suffered when his patrol came under small-arms fire...

Services for Cooper were held this afternoon at the Croley Funeral home in Williamsburg...

Cooper was laid to rest at Bowling Cemetery in Jellico, Tennessee.

Governor Beshear has ordered that flags at state office buildings be lowered to half-staff today.

i didn't get to go to the viewing but my heart and soul was with the family and friends. I worked with David at McDonalds in Williamsburg for a short time and he was such a great guy. He didn't know a stranger and always was there if you needed someone to cry on. He will be miss by all that knew and loved him.
