A Lexington family is homeless Friday morning following an overnight fire on the city's south side.

It happened around 11 p.m. on Toronto Road near Man O' War and Nicholasville Roads.

Fire crews say it appears an electrical outlet behind an entertainment center caught on fire and spread from there.

When crews arrived heavy smoke was pouring from the home.

Fortunately no one was injured.

Investigators say most the damage was contained to the living room but the family of four will not be able to live there, at least for a while.

The Community Services Division is trying to help the family find somewhere else to stay.
