Midnight Update: The light snow and wintry mix has left Kentucky and we will stay dry now as we head into our Thursday morning.
Temperatures are dropping quickly this evening! Lexington is already down to 26° and is still headed to the upper teens for morning. Dress in layers if you need to be outside!
Meteorologist Michael Estime will have the latest on our early spring blast of cold air starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky.
A light wintry mix and snow is moving through the region from west to east and will come to an end this evening. Colder air is also pushing in from the northwest and will help temperatures drop into the upper teens for Thursday morning! Hopefully you haven't put the winter coats away yet!
Thursday afternoon will be colder as well. We will stay dry with mostly sunny skies, but it will only make it into the mid 30s late in the day. An isolated shower could cross the Kentucky/Tennessee border into southern Kentucky, but is unlikely.
We will be slightly warmer Friday, with highs in the mid 40s. That is still a good 10° below average for this time of year.
