Afternoon Update:
That sunshine that you're seeing outside of your window will warm the temperatures in to the upper 80s and low 90s. In our southern counties, we'll see a few clouds roll on it compliments of Isaac. More clouds are in store by tomorrow with showers and storms moving in by this weekend. Join Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for the latest on your forecast!

With your Labor Day weekend just around the corner, many of you are getting ready to kick back and relax outside. The only fly in the ointment in your weekend forecast will be Isaac's impact in central Kentucky. I'm anticipating areas of heavy showers and storms by Saturday and Sunday. Before we get to your weekend, we have plenty of sunshine to enjoy this afternoon. Temperatures today should top off in the upper 80 & low 90s. By dinnertime this evening, I'm anticipating a few more clouds to roll in especially in our southern counties. Also this evening, an isolated shower is possible south of Rockcastle County.
Friday, we'll start to bring in a few more clouds with temperatures still in the mid to upper 80s. Tropical moisture courtesy of Isaac will push in by Friday and into this weekend. If you have outdoor plans this weekend, make sure to have an indoor option also available.
Enjoy the sunshine!
Rain-free skies won't last for long. More on Isaac's KY impact on GMK at 5am! @ABC36Lexington #KyWx
