Efforts were underway Saturday to raise money for remaining family members after a fiery crash in Nicholasville resulted in the tragic passing of a husband, wife and three children.

All proceeds of a yard sale in Nicholasville will go to the Hibbard family. Steven Hibbard, his wife Shaila, along with 4-yr-old Alyssa, 3-yr-old Kylee and 7-yr-old Tanner Phillips passed away as result of the crash on June 27th.

Family reported on Saturday there is still $10,000 left to pay for the funeral.

"The community has really stepped in, we've got a lot of donations. at first we were a little worried but we got a lot of donations from a lot of generous people," said Ashley Hamblen.

Nicholasville Police are still trying to figure out why the Hibbards' car crossed the median on US 27 and slammed head-on into a van. One person in that van also passed away.
