A Lexington woman was arrested Monday after police said she stalked her daughter’s classmate and her family for more than a year.

Juliann Reynolds, 42, is charged with stalking for the incidents that allegedly started in December 2011.

According to court documents, Reynolds said she’s had a problem with the victim and her family since the girl was in kindergarten.

The family told police that Reynolds would follow them around public places and curse at the young girl.

According to a police citation, Fayette County Public Schools and Lexington Police also documented incidents where the girl’s classroom had to be locked down when Reynolds was on school property.

On Wednesday, the girl told police she was walking to school when Reynolds saw her.

Court documents said Reynolds exited the school’s parking lot the wrong way and sped toward the girl.

Police said the girl had to run out of the road to keep from being hit.

Court documents said Reynolds told police she knew she drove the wrong way and scared the girl, but she had gone that way because she needed to pick something up from a home nearby.

Police said the owner of that home said that wasn’t true. The owner also said Reynolds had asked her to lie to investigators.

Reynolds is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
