Afternoon Update:

I hope you enjoyed the sunshine during the first half of your Monday!

Clouds will continue to increase along with our chances for light showers, sleet and perhaps even freezing rain.  Little to no accumulation is expected.

Join Meteorologist Mark Stitz tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm for more on your forecast.

Good morning!

We're off to a cold and frosty start with temperatures in the teens to start! By lunch time, look for temperatures in the upper 30s with a few more high clouds moving in.  Though temperatures should top out in the low to mid 40s today, increasing clouds through the afternoon and evening hours should lead to a wintry mix overnight into early Tuesday morning.  No significant sleet accumulation is expected.  Overnight lows should dip down to near freezing under overcast skies with a wintry mix in store overnight.

If you're praying for warmer temps, just wait until you see your weekend forecast! I'll have that for you on ABC 36 News at Noon!

Another wintry mix is on the way! More on the timing at 5am on #GMK on @ABC36Lexington!
