Afternoon Update:

It's a good looking lunch with temps ranging from the mid to upper 50s to low 60s, and low 70s where we are seeing more sunshine in eastern KY.  Showers and more clouds are building into the Blue Grass.  Expect those to arrive by late afternoon and into the early evening west of I-75 and eventually moving east of I-75 by late evening and into the overnight.

Chief Meteorologist Jennifer Schack will be in this evening tracking this powerful cold front and Hurricane Sandy's impact on KY tonight at 5pm, 6pm & 11pm.

It's a decent start to your Friday morning with mild temperatures.  Look for more clouds to build in through lunchtime, with spotty showers in the forecast into this evening.  High temperatures should spike into the upper 60s and perhaps a 70 degree reading here and there.  Overnight lows should fall into the mid 40s with scattered showers and clouds by first thing on your Saturday morning.  This weekend should be noticeably cool with highs only in the low 50s with weekend low temps in the mid to upper 30s.
