Clouds, showers and isolated embedded thunderstorms are in the forecast through early afternoon in the Blue Grass. Eastern KY will fight through the showers and isolated storms through late afternoon and early evening. Cooler temps will settle in behind the passage of this cold front which is responsible for this afternoon's showers. Highs by 5am are only forecast in the upper 40s and low 50s.

A few of those storms could be produce heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and gusty winds. Temperatures will continue to spiral downward from this morning into this afternoon. By lunch time, look for the numbers in the low 50s with cloudy skies and scattered showers. Upper 40s & low 50s is what you can look forward to temperature-wise into this afternoon. Around dinner time, showers and storms should begin to lessen some.
Overnight lows should fall within a few degrees of freezing with frost possible by first thing Thursday morning.
