Midnight Update: Light snows continue to linger, especially across Eastern Kentucky. Temperatures have fallen into the low to mid 20s so far tonight, with overnight low temperatures expected to fall to around 16 degrees Thursday morning. Temperatures don't get above freezing through the day Thursday, with a high of only 25 degrees. This will continue to give us slick surfaces for the coming days. Friday morning will be even colder, with a morning low of 11 degrees, and an afternoon high of 24 degrees. We expect to have more sunshine for Friday, with partly sunny skies, which will hopefully help melt some of the ice. Another chance for snow develops this weekend, with more snow chances into next week.
Light snow will be possible through early tonight, with a Travelers Advisory in effect through midnight for the Lexington Metro area, and a Winter Weather Advisory for Eastern Kentucky. Light snow accumulations and black ice will continue to be a concern overnight, with temperatures staying well below freezing through the extended forecast.

This light snow will create slick roads and surfaces, making traveling dangerous tonight. Temperatures will continue to drop into the mid-teens, with overnight low temperatures around 16 degrees.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy skies and cold conditions continue for Thursday, with a high of only 25 degrees.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Skies will remain mostly to partly cloudy, with overnight low temperatures falling to a frigid 11 degrees by daybreak Friday.
FRIDAY: Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with a high of only 24 degrees.
SATURDAY: Snow showers are possible on Saturday, with a dusting to one inch possible at this time. Saturday high temperatures will be around 33 degrees.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Skies will remain mostly cloudy Saturday night into Sunday morning, with overnight low temperatures around 24 degrees.
SUNDAY: Another chance for light snow will return for Sunday, with a dusting possible. Sunday high temperatures will be around 30 degrees.
NEXT WEEK: Temperatures remain cold into next week, with highs in the 20s. Monday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies with a high of 24 degrees, and the chance for some flurries or light snow. Another chance for snow and a wintry mix will return for Tuesday into Wednesday, with highs in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
