A Wayne County woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident in Somerset, according to Police.
Investigators said a pickup truck driven by Hailey Flynn, 19, of Somerset, tried to cross the westbound lanes of KY 914 near Pisgah Drive and collided with a car, driven by Dexter McKinney, 64, of Monticello.
Police said the collision sent McKinney's car into the grass median where it came to rest. The pickup came to rest blocking an eastbound lane.
Investigators said the lone passenger in McKinney's car, Sharyan McKinney, 62, of Monticello, died at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital from injuries suffered in the accident.
Dexter McKinney was treated at the scene.
Hailey Flynn was also treated at the scene, along with her lone passenger, Kayla Williams, 19, of Eubank.
The road was blocked for more than 3-hours following the wreck.
The accident is being investigated by Accident Reconstructionists with the Somerset Police Department.
