The Fayette County Coroner said Mackenzie Hertweck, 21, died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a car accident last Friday, January 4, 2013.
Lexington Police said Hertweck was a passenger in a car driven by Jeremy Arvin.
Investigators said alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash.
Police said Arvin's car left the road and hit a tree along Delong Road near Tates Creek just before 10:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Arvin was listed in fair condition at U.K. Hospital.
