Boston police said one suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing was killed after a shootout, the other 'armed and dangerous' early Friday morning.
Police said the first suspect was killed after exchanging fire with officers in Watertown, Mass., and that explosives went off during the gun fight. They said one officer was injured and in critical condition.
The second suspect is still on the loose as of this writing. A new picture of him was released by police, which they say was taken in a local 7-11 in Cambridge, Mass., Thursday night.
Watertown police blocked off several streets and areas Friday morning in an effort to find the second suspect. Massachusetts state police have offered guidance to residents to stay indoors and not answer unless by a clearly-marked police officer.
The Boston Marathon bombing Monday killed three people and injured more than 170 others.
