Lexington Police said they arrested a man for theft early this morning.

Police say Carl Elovitz, 60, was arrested around 1 a.m. on Stone Haven Road in Lexington.

Frankfort Police were searching for Elovitz last night, saying he could possibly be tied to an advertising fraud scheme.

They say someone was claiming to be part of an Athletic Department and was selling advertisement for the 41st District Basketball Tournament.

Police say Elovitz also had outstanding arrest warrents in Fayette, Woodford, Jessamine and Anderson Counties.

Another fraud everyone should be aware of is the Amway Tool Scam. Google "Stop The Amway Tool Scam Wordpress" for more information, and forward this to every non-Distributor/IBO you know, so they don't get scammed.
