State Police said one person was killed in a wreck involving a tractor-trailer and a car on I-64 in Carter County Friday afternoon.
Investigators said the deadly accident happened near the 161 mile marker on Interstate 64.
The wreck led to the temporary closing of the eastbound lanes at the KY 1704 underpass at mile marker 158.
All eastbound traffic was detoured at Exit 156 along KY 2 to U.S. 60 east to return to I-64 at Exit 161.
Westbound traffic was not affected.
