Update: Nicholasville Teen Dies In Car Crash

Jessamine County sheriff's deputies said Taylor Corman, 18, was killed when his truck struck a tree early Tuesday morning.
The Jessamine County Sheriff's Office said they suspect alcohol and speed were factors in a deadly crash early Tuesday morning.

Deputies said Taylor Corman, 18, was driving the 1998 Jeep on Lexington Road near Wilmore when he lost control, over-corrected, and hit a tree around 2 a.m.

Corman died at the scene.

Court documents said the teen was driving on a hardship license--which meant he was only supposed to drive to and from work--because of a DUI in July.

Deputies said Corman had two passengers in the car--Emilee Gosser, 18, and Christopher Gumm, 19--who were both taken to UK Hospital.

Officials said Gumm was treated and released and Gosser was in fair condition.

The sheriff's office said they'll continue to investigate the crash, while friends and family said they could only try to deal with his loss.

"I dunno...it's just not the same. I'm in shock. Major shock," said friend Katie Knipper.

Corman was a 2012 graduate of East Jessamine High School. Counselors were brought in Tuesday to help and console those that knew the teen while he was there.
