State police said a missing teenage girl has been found safe in Lexington.
Police said Cheyenne Vires, 16, was found just after 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said Vires was being transported Friday by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Protection Permanency.
Officials said she kicked out a window and jumped out of the state car as it slowed down.
She was last seen attempting to hitch a ride on I-64 in Shelby County.
Police said Vires has been returned back into state custody.
