Two people were jailed and a teenager was taken to the hospital after Kentucky State Police said they found a meth lab in a Lexington hotel.
Court documents said state police found a couple and a 13-year-old inside the Knights Inn off Stanton Way just east of I-75 Monday night.
Court documents said troopers found the couple making meth.
State police charged Thomas John Stephens, 39, and his girlfriend, Jenny Keller, 41, with manufacturing meth and wanton endangerment. Stephens was also charged with violating parole--he was convicted of manufacturing meth in 2008.
State police said they were tipped off a few days ago that Stephens was allegedly making meth between Scott and Fayette counties.
Court documents said troopers got into his and Keller's rented hotel room Monday night, and found chemicals and equipment used for making meth.
Those documents also stated that Stephens was seen at the room's sink, with "smoke rolling" which gave off a strong ether smell.
The teenager that was in the room, according to court documents, is Keller's son.
He was taken to UK Children's Hospital to be checked out as a precaution, and child services was notified about the incident.
Firefighters were called to the scene to decontaminate anyone who walked into the hotel room.
Both Keller and Stephens are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
