Lexington Police are looking for answers after a 3-year-old girl died today in Lexington.
Lieutenant Mario Russo says the child was reported missing this afternoon.
Around 30 minutes later, when the fire department arrived at her house, they say they found the little girl inside and unconscious.
She was immediately brought to UK Hospital, but Police say she did not survive.
Russo says Crimes against children will continue this investigation even though we don’t know yet that there was a crime.
