Police said they had ruled out alcohol, drugs and weather conditions in a deadly Anderson County car crash.

The crash happened Friday on the Bluegrass Parkway.

According to investigators, two teenagers from Christian County died when their pickup truck hit a tractor-trailer that had stopped along the parkway.

Investigators said that witnesses told them the truck was speeding.

The first victim, 17-year-old Jacob Blankenship, was taken to UK Chandler Hospital where he died, according to the Fayette County Coroner.

The Anderson County Coroner said he would not release the second victim's name out of respect for the family.

Investigators said all four teens in the Nissan pickup were athletes returning to Christian County after seeing their team play in the Sweet 16.
