UK Rape Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

Simon Segal pleaded not guilty to raping a UK coed in a campus dorm room over the weekend.
University of Kentucky student Simon Segal pleaded not guilty in Fayette District Court on Tuesday to raping a coed in a campus dorm room.

Segal was arrested Saturday morning, not long after the reported attack.

According to a police report, Segal is accused of forcing himself on the reported victim after the two left an off-campus party.

The reported victim told investigators that she refused Segal's advances, but that he pinned her down in a dorm room and knocked her unconscious, according to a police report.

Segal is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on February 5, 2013.
