The case of a man accused of gunning down three people in a community college parking lot in Hazard was sent to a grand jury on Tuesday.
Dalton Stidham is accused of shooting Caitlin Cornett, 20, her uncle, Jackie Douglas, 53, and his daughter, Taylor Cornett, 12.
Stidham is charged with three counts of murder.
According to investigators, he turned himself in to authorities after the shootings and confessed to the crime.
Stidham has pleaded not guilty in Perry District Court.
Hazard Police said Stidham met the three victims in the parking lot of Hazard Community and Technical College to exchange custody of Stidham and Caitlin Cornett's two-year old son.
Investigators also said Stidham legally purchased the handgun used in the crime just hours before the shootings.
The shooting victims have been memorialized by family, friends and the Community College. Caitlin Cornett had been a student at the school in recent years and was scheduled to begin a new class in February, according to the college.
