The owners of a Frankfort movie theater will pay $5,000 to a woman, because that woman says she didn't get help for her hearing problem.
Anita Dowd says she went to a movie at the Chakeres Theatre in July of 2011. She says she did not receive captioning service or other help, as required by law. She went to the Kentucky Human Rights Commission.
The theater's owner has agreed to pay her $5,000. But the company says it does comply with the law.
