A teenager is dead after a Sunday crash in Madison County.

The sheriff's office says four people were in a white 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix that ran off Kentucky Highway 21, east of Berea, Sunday around 4:25 p.m. The car hit a tree.

The driver, 18-year-old Kelsey Vickers, was sent to Berea St. Joseph Hospital, then to UK Hospital.

One passenger, a 15-year-old, died at the hospital in Berea. That person's name has not been released.

The sheriff's office says the other two passengers are 13 and 16 years old. They are both at UK Hospital.

It's believed the wet road was a factor in the crash.
