Some students in Lexington got to put their book smarts to the test in the real world today.

Eastside Technical Center hosted its annual car clinic.

The students worked with some of Lexington's top technicians to provide free inspections to the public.

They checked things like oil, fluids, tires, and hoses and were available for consultation afterward.

While the experts did teach some on-the-job lessons, they also learned the value of hard work, and the importance of setting goals.

This was the 23rd year for the annual car care clinic.
