People in Southern Kentucky say they're hearing a booming sound.

Corbin dispatch says it received 50 to 60 phone calls about the unknown noises.

Some people want to know if there's been an earthquake, like the one in Letcher County in November.

Seth Carpenter is a Seismologist from UK.

He says his data from Southern Kentucky shows some mine blasts but no earthquake.

He says he's seen nothing out of the ordinary.
