Police said slick roads likely contributed to two crashes that happened just hours apart in Lexington early Friday morning.

The first happened just after midnight on Man O’ War Boulevard near Clearwater Way.

Police said a woman told them she hit a slick spot. She crashed into a pole and some trees after her SUV left the roadway.

Police said the woman had minor injuries but refused treatment.

Just three hours later, another crash sent a man to the hospital.

It happened on Man O’ War Boulevard near Rapid Run.

The man told officials he was run off the road by another car. Police said they think slick conditions probably played a factor, too.

Police said his injuries were non life-threatening.
