Shots were fired into a Lexington home early Tuesday morning.

Police said a family was inside their home on East Loudon Avenue just before 3 a.m. when several bullets were shot into the house through a back door.

No one was hurt in the shooting.

When police arrived, they said they saw a man walking nearby, so they stopped to question him.

Police said that man took off running and led police on a chase. He was eventually caught on Maple Avenue, near York Street.

Police said the man has been arrested and has a number of charges against him, but they don’t know yet if he was responsible for the shooting.

Police said the man was seen carrying a bag containing three handguns, a knife and duct tape.

The investigation is ongoing.
