A man suffered serious injuries in a late-night shooting in Lexington.
Police said they were called to St. Joseph's hospital at around 11 p.m. Monday after a man came in suffering from gunshot wounds.
They said the victim told them he was sitting in a car on West 5th Street when a man came up and asked to use his cell phone.
The two then got into an argument and the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim twice in the chest, according to police.
Bullets also hit the car that had three other people in it and a home nearby.
The driver of the car took the victim to the hospital.
The victim was later transferred to the University of Kentucky hospital.
Police said his injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
No one else was injured in the shooting.
Police said they are questioning the other people who were in the car.
A suspect has not been arrested.
