According to officials, the crash happened sometime overnight, but they didn't find out about it until this morning.

Just before 9 a.m., people called in when they noticed small plastic pellets floating in the creek.

Investigators searched a two mile area of the creek and found an overturned semi-truck.

They sid the truck driver was dead when they found him.

Firefighters said diesel fuel had also spilled out of the truck and into the creek and today's weather condition made clean-up a big challege.

They said the diesel fuel spill have been contained and is being cleaned up.

According to the firefighters, there are 30 thousand pounds of those plastic pellets that also need to be cleaned up, but they aren't an emergency environmental hazard.

The clean-up process is expected to take a couple of days.
