Two sets of remains have been identified in an eastern Kentucky vehicle fire.

Kentucky State Police say troopers were called to the site of a burned vehicle at an abandoned mine in Knott County.

There, they found remains belonging to David E. Sparkman, 26, and Keisha M. Sexton, 18, both of Topmost.

Troopers were alerted last week to possible remains, but at the time said they were burned beyond recognition.

State police continue to investigate.
