Police: Two Arrested in Relation to Sherman Ave. Fire

Police say 30 year-old Greggory Cruz and 31 year-old Darrell Blankenship have each been charged with second degree arson.
Lexington Police say two men are in custody in relation to a fire on Sherman Ave that took place Saturday evening.

Police say 30 year-old Greggory Cruz and 31 year-old Darrell Blankenship have each been charged with second degree arson.

The Lexington Fire Department responded to the fire a few minutes before 7pm Saturday.

They say the inside of the home was completely destroyed, but say no one was home at the time of the fire.

Rachel Mobley, who owns the property and was renting it out, says the last tenant moved out earlier in the week.

She says she does not know the two suspects who were arrested.

Mobley says the home had been in her family's name since the 60's. She says she grew up in the house, and says it's very hard to see the home in such bad shape.
