Lexington Police searched for a wanted man for several hours early Tuesday morning.
Police said they stopped a car behind Spearmint Rhino off Athens-Boonesborough when a passenger dropped a gun and took off running.
A K-9 unit was called in to help search the area.
Police said they think the male suspect may have hitched a ride to the Newtown Pike area.
Officials said the man has several warrants, including one for robbery.
