Police Officers Treated For Smoke Inhalation Responding To Lexington Crash

Lexington Police say a car burst into flames Wednesday afternoon after hitting a parked car on Montavesta Road.

According to Police other drivers tried to get the driver out but couldn't.

Police arrived and used fire extinguishers and a nearby garden hose before the fire department arrived.

The department says its closest station was closed because of the 'brownout' program.

Firefighters cut the driver out.

The Fire Department says seven people had smoke inhalation, including three police officers.

Police say the driver of the car had a medical problem which caused the crash.
