Lexington Police said a group of juveniles stole from an ice cream truck and shot at the driver.

And officers said the same kids later tried to break into a nearby home.

According to police, the truck was parked on Trailwood Lane Monday afternoon when three kids broke into it and stole popsicles.

The owner said that after he chased them off, the kids returned with a fourth child and either a BB or Air Soft gun.

Police said they shot at the driver, but he wasn't hurt.

According to officers, the kids later tried to break into a home on the same street.

Police say the homeowner was able to hold three of them until officers arrived and arrested them.

The fourth got away and had not been caught, officers said.
