A police chase that began in Boyle County Tuesday evening ended with a violent crash in Anderson County.

Police said they were called to the Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Boyle County for a report of 'suspicious activity.'

Investigators said the driver of a car that matched the suspect's description refused to pull over, which led to the police chase.

Police said the pursuit along U.S. 127 went through Boyle and Mercer counties at speeds in excess of 100 mph.

Investigators said the driver ended up crashing his car in Anderson County.  Police said the car flipped several times.  The driver was thrown from the car.

Police identified the driver as Dylan Naylor, 19, of Boyle County.

Naylor was taken from the accident scene by ambulance to an area hospital.
