Police in Danville are asking for information on a hit and run accident.
Police said John Davis, 77, was hit around 7:40 p.m. Tuesday on West Lexington Avenue.
Officers said they found Davis lying in the grass.
Officers said Davis told them he was putting his trash can out when a car hit him and then kept going.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for a wrist injury.
Danville Police are asking anyone who may have information to give them a call.
