Kentucky State Police say a commercial vehicle enforcement officer had to shoot a robbery suspect.
Troopers say there was an armed robbery at a truck stop in Hardin County.
Police were looking for the suspect’s vehicle.
A Vehicle Enforcement Officer spotted it on I-65 and pulled it over.
He says the suspect ignored orders to leave the vehicle and show his hands. And he says when the suspect grabbed a gun, he shot him.
The suspect is 20-year-old Aaron Hart. He’s charged with robbery, resisting arrest, and other charges.
Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
State Police say the officer involved was Jared Newberry.
