About 150 new laws go on the books Thursday in Kentucky.

They were passed and signed by the Governor during the recent General Assembly session.

Among them are the law that tightens restrictions on buying medicines with pseudophedrine, which is a key ingredient in meth.

People selling copper will be paid by check, not cash. The goal is to make it easier to track down thieves.

Another law will allow the state to offer beefed-up tax incentives to lure care makers to the state.
