Police are investigating after someone fired shots into a Lexington home early Monday morning.
It happened just before 12:30 a.m. at a home on Charles Avenue.
Police said a woman was sitting in her bedroom when three bullets were shot into her home.
There were five people inside at the time, according to police, including two teenagers.
No one was hurt.
When police arrived, they said they also found a bullet had been shot into the tailgate of a pickup truck sitting outside.
Police said they don’t know when the truck was left there or why it was parked outside of the home.
While police were investigating the shooting, the pickup truck’s owner was at the police station reporting unauthorized use of her vehicle.
She told police she had lent the pickup truck to someone who lent it to someone else without her permission.
Police said there is no connection between the truck’s owner or the residents of the home.
At this point, police said they don’t know if that truck has any connection to the shooting.
